Strange weather

Isn't it funny how the weather affects ones mood. Most everyone knows that when it is spring and the sun is shining our moods elevate; and when it rains for days on end we tend get moody a little depressed and eat too much; that good old "comfort food"! Today is a bit cloudy but what a great day to sit outside and absord some sunlight it really lights one spirits!

Baa Hum Bug

It is December 4th and I am sitting at my desk thinking, "Christmas Shopping already... " in reality we have 20 days until Christmas and I for one am not ready. First it is 90 degrees out and doesn't feel like Winter at all, second the kids are grown and our house has just lost that "feel".

Perhaps if I take a stroll through Montrose Shopping Park with all their decorations I will pick up the Spirit. I will let you all know.

End of Summer

Summer is coming to an end; it is Labor Day Weekend and the weather is stifling. Already you see Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations on display, next will be Christmas; where does the time go? It is amazing how one year rolls into the next in a blink of an eye. This year my goal is to make a difference, volunteer and be present for whatever task needs doing. If you have any ideas post them!

Is it that time already?

Can you believe it is already the end of summer and time to start thinking about the new school year? I hope everyone has had a great vacation. For us "training week" starts this Monday for the upcoming season of H20Polo, previously called "Hell Week". It consists of intense training in the pool, weight lifting and running for 4 hours a day broken into 2 sessions every week day for the next 2 weeks. The Sophomore's have their orientation on Aug. 27th; how exciting.

For all of us who have a youngster starting school there is so much to prepare for whether it is their first year starting college; getting their schedules to work with ours, trying to find school supplies and calming any fears and concerns is a lot to juggle.

If you are like me and work it is a challenge to find the time to start stocking supplies. Our local Office Depot tends to run out of everything very quickly! My goal is to try to get as much done as possible before the first day, then I can just do the "filler" items that each teacher reqiures for thier class.

I still can't believe that my youngest is now going to be a 10th grader; where has the time gone?

I will update you on the progress... send your thoughts or ideas on this new school year!
